Am I a mean person for laughing at that clip? Don’t lie, you laughed…
I’d probably weep if my favourite player Roy Halladay gave me something.
Actually I probably would be so nervous I wouldn’t be able to say anything.
No, actually I’m more likely to fart or do something else ridiculous which then would lead me to cry anyway.
A quick google search on crying in sports led me to some great pics…enjoy.
Madonnnnnnnnnna
Give me the baaaaaaaaaaaaall
This time I'm serious...
I was wide open!!!!!
This has nothing to do with sports...oh well
Have you ever cried because of some sports moment?
It could be you’re own moment, like taking your D – Division slow pitch team to the league title or maybe clinching the World Series in the 7th game in the video game MLB the Show.
Someone already beat me to the Madden roster change…
With the addition of Donovan McNabb and the loss of Sidney Rice the Vikings have all but guaranteed that AP will be receiving a ridiculous spike in carries.
Donovan’s days of a gunslinging stud are past and even if he still had the mad skills of yesteryear who would he throw to?
Especially the deep ball so that he can free up the underneath where Harvin thrives.
Other than Harvin…the picking is slim

Not that having AP be the centre of the offence is a bad thing or anything. He is the beast of all beasts and arguably the best back in the league. So why not hand him the rock every chance you get?
I actually think this will be good for the Vikings (maybe not so good for AP’s knees, bones or future retirement plans) as now their fans don’t have to worry about Favre launching blind cross field passes into triple coverage.
Now they can just sit back and watch AP bowl people over while eating up clock and giving their usually stellar D’ some time to rest.
If I get first pick in my fantasy football pool I’m definitely going with AP.
I’m still shaking my head over the ending to the Pittsburgh Pirates and Atlanta Braves game from last night.
It’s one thing to lose a game, it’s another to lose in 19 innings, it’s another to lose after playing for 7 hours, but to lose on this play has to make even the non fan want to cry.
I equate that loss to running a marathon and then at the half way point a race marshall comes up to you and says April Fools!
Anyway, on to more uplifting news.
As I stated in this previous post I was hoping the Blue Jays would confirm the rumours and go after Colby Rasmus.

Well AA went ahead and listened to my midnight cries and has let it happen.
A lot was given up for him, but to get a lot you have to give up a lot…right?
Ok fine, let me think of this objectively.
The Jays already weak bullpen got even weaker with the losses of Frasor, Dotel and Rzepczynski. They also gave up on a promising starter in Zach Stewart.
But…
Talent wise, Rasmus has a higher ceiling then any of the players involved in this deal.
The Jays aren’t looking to win now, they are building for a future winner, so the gamble is worth it if Rasmus comes close to any of the lofty expectations.
I hear he comes with some baggage, supposedly his dad is his hitting coach and he wouldn’t take advice from the Cards’ hitting coach.
The Jays have seen this story before with Yunel Escobar and his ‘baggage’ so if he can turn it around so can Mr. Rasmus.
The Jays outfield is looking stellar for the future: Snider, Rasmus, Bautista, add in Thames and Gose in a few years and that is pretty solid.
I might close my eyes the rest of this year when the ball gets turned over to the ‘Pen, but in a few years I think the pain will turn to pure pleasure.
With their 4-1 loss to the Yankees today the Seattle Mariners have shockingly lost 17 straight games.
It’s not like this is the worst team in the league or anything…they were a .500 ball club and just a few games out of 1st in their division when the slide started.
If you’re Eric Wedge, what do you say in the locker room? I’m sure he raged after probably the 9th or 10th loss, but after 17 is there anything else to say?
Maybe a reverse psychology approach might be appropriate?
Like throwing a party in the locker room after the next loss. Kind of like when a team wins a pennant.
Full on Dom Perignon, t-shirts, hats, goggles…too much?

It can’t hurt.
I feel especially bad for one of my favourite players Ichiro.
Photo from sportshistory.historyguy.com
He is having his worse year to date and seems to have lost a step or two on the base baths.
Maybe all the losing and the bleak future outlook of the team is wearing on him.
Would they ever dare move Ichiro?
He makes significant coin and ownership has been trying to pare down the payroll.
I haven’t seen his name come up anywhere in trade deadline rumours, but you’d think any contending team would love to have him.
He is the face of the franchise though, so the fans may revolt and not show up to watch the rebuild.
So when will the streak end? Their ace King Felix is up tomorrow and he is 2-0 career at New Yankee Stadium. Phil Hughes goes for the Yanks and he has been shaky since coming back from the DL with a not so hawt 6.46 ERA.
Ok fine, I’ll predict it, the losing streak ends tomorrow.
With the return of Jaromir Jagr to the NHL and the rumoured return of Alexei Yashin (yeah, I know), it got me thinking of what other players would be cool to see back on the ice.
How about my beloved Vancouver Canucks? Other than the annoying lets trade our goalie chants, the other most popular request is adding toughness to the line up.
My thinking is that a goon doesn’t really need to play more than say 5 minutes of total ice, so I’m sure some of the former goons from the Rock em Sock em videos could make a come back.

I mean, some of them have performed 5 min figure skating routines on that Battle of the Blades reality show, so cardio shouldn’t be an issue.

So I say we bring this guy back.
Wow, can you imagine if someone rocked what he did in that clip now?
What former star do you think could still lace ‘em up?
…they don’t have to be good…maybe just last a whole game.
Congrats to one of my idols growing up, Robbie Alomar, on being inducted to the Hall of Fame today. Also congrats to the man that brought him to Toronto, Pat Gillick, on also being inducted.
Alomar has to be the best Blue Jay ever, but this got me thinking of a top 5 list. There’s been a bunch of superstars on the Blue Jays over the years and some other Hall of Famers too.
However, I wanted to choose a list of Jays who played more than just 2 or 3 years for the Jays. It was actually really tough to pick a top 5.
I’ve decided I want to blog more. Rather than just thinking about doing it, I’m starting right now. I will be posting on this blog at least once a week for all of 2011.
I know it won’t be easy, but it might be fun, inspiring, awesome and wonderful. Therefore I’m promising to make use of The DailyPost, and the community of other bloggers with similiar goals, to help me along the way, including asking for help when I need it and encouraging others when I can.
If you already read my blog, I hope you’ll encourage me with comments and likes, and good will along the way.
The Jays pen blows another in Texas. This one hurts bad. Have one of the best teams in the league on the ropes and poof, a walk, an error, 3 bunts and a misplayed flyball and its over. I see why the Heath Bell trade rumours are around. The Jays havent had a shutdown closer in forever, where’s Tom Henke when u need him?
Ok, gotta go finish this beer to forget that disaster
I don’t think I’ve talked to anyone who thinks the NFL will be locked out for the upcoming season. Even though the wheeling and dealing has been going on for months, no one expects the talks to fail.

Summer time, not usually an exciting time for Canadian sports fans.
Except for a few of us outsiders who actually like sports other than hockey.
Baseball is…don’t tell anyone…my favourite sport. That feels almost sacrilegious to say being a Canadian, almost as bad as saying I like Starbucks more than Tim Horton’s coffee.
Yup, guilty again.
So why is this post called Let it Happen you ask? Find out here
Welcome,
I'm Alex Factor, known to my friends as Sal (sexy al)
I'm a sports addict, recently run my first marathon and somehow managed to gain weight while training, a beast at EA Sports video games, an occasional gambler (yes, occasional) and an avid eater of fine and not so fine foods (mostly not so fine). This is my blog about the sports I love...and maybe slightly dislike (hate is a strong word).
